A MOMENT YOU CAN STILL FEEL YEARS LATER
WEDDING VOWS

L
et’s get real:
vows can be a little overwhelming.
But fear not, in reality it is the moment the noise fades, the nerves settle, and it’s just the two of you, promising forever (with a little inside joke or two thrown in for good measure). And ultimately, it’s a moment so pure that no words can really describe it.
Vows are the emotional spine of your wedding film.
Your vows sit at the core of your wedding day. We can show the laughter, the dancing, the wild speeches and epic sunsets, but it’s your words that tie it all together. It’s the voice-over that carries the visuals. It’s the part that makes a stranger say, “Oh wow, I felt that.”

You don’t need to be a poet.
You just need to be honest.
Some of our favourite vows were a little shaky, sometimes off-the-cuff - but always real.
A few that made us smile:
-
“I love you, even though you refuse to accept the appropriate portion of peanut butter.”
-
“I promise to be your navigator, otherwise we will be going the wrong direction in life.”
-
“You are my favourite human.”
-
“I love you even though you still point out parking spots that don’t exist.”
And from a filmmaking perspective?
We grin wildly when we hear couples are planning on doing personal vows. Why - because we build your story around them. They become the thread, pulling us (and your future selves) back into the feeling of the day.
Hot tips for vows that hit different:
-
Keep it you. Write like you speak.
-
Think of one story. A single moment can often say more than a long list of reasons ever could.
-
Emotions are allowed. Crying is allowed. So is laughing.
-
Even if you fumble - it’s still perfect because it’s real.
-
Focus on the little things - we often reach for the big promises, but a series of small promises like “coffee in bed” accumulate to be the big things.
-
Practice, but don’t memorize. This ain’t Hollywood baby, it’s real life.
Still nervous?
We’ve got your back. We’ve seen it all, and we’ll always help you feel calm and grounded before the big moment. Sometimes we’re the ones pinning on the mic and whispering, “Breathe, you’ve got this.”
Because we know - this matters.
Not for the socials. Not for your guests. But for you.
So go ahead - put pen to paper, or open up that Notes app.
Speak the truth. Say the things only you would say.
And we’ll be right there, capturing the moment when it all becomes real.
